Sat / Sun 8 - 9 November 2008:
Weekend "Icebreaker Cruise".
Sailor's theme for this one. Wear your sailor's gear. Pirates permitted. Saturday afternoon / evening BBQ at one of the Southern Bays (probably Opunga or Omakiwi ). Club provides BBQs, sausages, steak, bread, onions, sauce, beer & wine on the beach. Bring a salad (or some doings) to contribute to a pot-luck salad. Sunday (about 10am) it's BBQs on the beach again with pancakes on the menu. Club provides the pancake mix, syrup, icing sugar, lemons, etc.
Sunday 7 December 2008:
One day picnic cruise.
BBQ lunch at a beach on the Te Puna Inlet or around the Te Pahi Islands depending on wind direction. Club supplies all the doings as per the "Ice Breaker Cruise" above. Don't forget your salad doings.

Commodores Shout.
Lunch / picnic / BBQ at a beach on the Te Puna Inlet. Plenty of sausages, steak and beer supplied. This is always a biggie so roll out, scoff up and partake of the ample liquid refreshments at the Commodore's expense.

Waitangi Weekend Cruise - Tropical / Polynesian theme.
Coconuts, grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts, guitars and stuff. Get your gear together and let's have a party. Food & drinks supplied by the Club as usual. Details advised closer to the time. Weather is tropical and there will be Sat evening BBQ and Sun morning pancakes. BYO salad doings.

Queens and Queers weekend cruise.
The theme is self explanatory. Up to you to figure out which side you are on. Get your gear on (or off?) and handbags at the ready. Saturday evening BBQ & Sun morning pancakes. Food & drinks supplied by the Club as usual. BYO salad.

Easter Cruise. United Nations theme.
You wear the ethnic gear & bring plate of tucker from your own / partner's / neighbour's / someone else's/ country for Saturday afternoon / evening. Club also supplies usual snarlers and drinks at the BBQs on the Saturday and Sunday evenings to supplement the ethnic tucker and a pancake brunch will be held on the Sunday. Venues & Cancellations:
Venues & cancellations (due to inclement weather) will be confirmed on the morning of the cruise on the noticeboard on Marina Clubhouse at the lower carpark and on VHF Channel 63 Russell Radio.
